What a website costs in 2026 (real numbers)

An honest breakdown of pricing for a company site, an online store, a SaaS and custom software — what drives the budget and what should be included.

The first question from almost every client is "how much". The honest answer is "it depends" — but it depends on things you can judge in a few minutes. Here is the breakdown we work from.

Rough ranges

TypeBallparkTimeline
Landing page / simple company site€1,000 – 3,0003–7 days
Multi-page site with SEO€2,500 – 6,0001–2 weeks
Online store€3,000 – 8,0001–2 weeks
SaaS / custom software (MVP)from €8,0004–8 weeks
ERP / internal system€10,000 – 30,0005–10 weeks

These aren't quotes — they're what to expect. The real number comes after a short call.

What pushes the price up

  • Number of unique templates. Five page types cost more than one repeated five times. A store with 20 categories and filters is more work than a catalog of 20 products.
  • Integrations. Payments, shipping couriers, accounting software, CRM, ERP — every connection is a separate task with its own testing.
  • Content. If you have the copy and photos, it's faster. If we write them, it takes longer.
  • Data and logic. "Show products" is simple. "Calculate price based on configuration, stock and this customer's discount" is not.
  • Design from scratch vs adaptation. Your own visual system costs more than a clean adaptation of a good base — sometimes worth it, sometimes not.

What should be included (and often isn't)

When you compare offers, check whether these are in:

  • Hosting and launch on your domain, not a subdomain of the vendor
  • SEO basics: clean structure, meta tags, sitemap.xml, structured data, fast loading
  • A mobile version tested on real devices — not just "responsive in theory"
  • Analytics from day zero, so you know whether it works
  • An inquiry form that actually reaches your inbox (sounds obvious — it isn't)
  • Access to the code / the ability to change vendors without starting over

If any of this is missing from the offer, ask why.

Subscription or one-off

A simple site is paid once and lives for years with minimal upkeep. A store, a SaaS, or a site that actively grows with content and features is more of a recurring line item — not because you're locked in, but because there is real work every month. Say upfront which of the two models fits you.

How to save money

  • Ship small and good, then build on it. An MVP in 3 weeks gives you real feedback; a big spec over 4 months often builds the wrong things.
  • Prepare your content early.
  • Don't pay for features "just in case". Add them when you actually need them.
